image003  Ik heet Heike, ben in 1968 geboren en ik verzamel Horen, Zien en Zwijgen sinds 1985. Ik was toen leidster in een vakantiekamp in het vroegere Oost-Duitsland. De andere leiders vroegen me wat ik graag voor mijn verjaardag wilde hebben. We gingen toen met z’n allen naar een souvenierwinkeltje en daar zag ik de drie apen staan. Ik had zoiets nog nooit eerder gezien en ik was ervan gefascineerd. Toen wist ik wat ik wilde hebben. Op dat moment is een passie begonnen die nu al meer dan 20 jaar duurt.

Mijn eerste setje met vier apen kocht ik gedurende een reisje naar Bernkastell in een sigarenwinkel.

Tot ongeveer het jaar 2000 bestond mijn verzameling uit ca. 50 setjes, hoewel ik altijd mijn ogen open hield voor meer. Toen echter eBay in mijn leven kwam is mijn verzameling enorm gegroeid.

Ongeveer in 1997 ontmoette ik op een vlooienmarkt een andere HZZ verzamelaar. We bleven contact houden en beiden dachten we, dat we de enigen met deze passie waren. Via het internet heb ich sinds die tijd echter over de hele wereld heel veel verzamelaars leren kennen. Met een paar blijf ik contact houden. Mijn dochter heb ik ook al “besmet”, want bijna alles wat ze tekent of knutselt heeft met de 3 apen te maken. Ik hoop dat ik gauw een gelegenheid krijg om aan een van de bijeenkomsten in Holland of USA deel te nemen. Ik heb een eigen website  over mijn verzameling: http://www.meine-drei-affen.de/index2.html

image002  My name is Heike. I was born in 1968 and I collect the No Evils since 1985 when I was an attendant in a holiday camp in former East Germany. The crew asked me what kind of present I would like to have for my birthday. All together we then visited a small souvenir shop where I spotted the three monkeys.  I had never seen something like that before and I found that figurine very fascinating. Now I knew what I wanted for myself. In that very moment a passion started that is now more than 20 years old. 

My first monkey figurine with four monkeys I found during a day trip in a cigarette store in Bernkastell Germany.

Until about the year 2000 my collection consisted of about 50 sets, although I always kept my eyes open in search for more. It was only when eBay came into my life, my collection has grown enormously.

Around 1997 I met with a fellow collector on a flea market. We stayed in contact and we believed that we were the only ones with such a passion. But since that time and through the internet I have gotten to know many collectors all over the world. With some of them I stay in contact.

My daughter has also been “infected” by me, since most of her handicraft items concern the three monkeys. I hope that one day I will be able to join one of the collectors meetings in the Netherlands or the USA. image004  Ich bin Heike, 1968 geboren und sammle nun schon seit 1985 als ich Betreuerin in einem Ferienlager in der damaligen DDR war. Die Belegschaft fragte, was ich mir zum Geburtstag wünsche. Wir gingen gemeinsam in einen kleinen Souvenirladen  wo ich die drei Affen stehen sah. So etwas hatte ich bis dahin noch nie gesehen, ich fand diese Skulptur faszinierend. Nun wusste ich, was ich mir wünschte. So begann die Leidenschaft, welche nun schon 20 Jahre alt ist. Meine erste Affenskulptur, welche aus vier Affen bestand, fand ich auf einem Ausflug  in einem Zigarettenladen in Bernkastell. Bis 2000 bestand meine Sammlung, trotzdem ich nun immer die Augen offen hielt, aus ca. 50 Gruppen.

Erst als eBay in meiner Wohnung Einzug hielt, wuchs meine Sammlung enorm.

Ungefähr in 1997 traf ich auf einen Flohmarkt einen Affensammler. Wir blieben in Kontakt und glaubten, dass wir die Einzigen mit der Leidenschaft sind.

Über das Internet habe ich aber seither weltweit sehr viele Sammler kennen gelernt. Mit einigen halte ich Kontakt.

Meine Tochter habe ich auch schon angesteckt, sie malt und bastelt fast nur die drei Affen.

image008 Je m’appelle Heike. Je suis née en 1968 et je collectionne les personnages de la sagesse depuis 1985 lorsque j’étais monitrice dans un camp de vacances dans l’ex Allemagne de l’Est. L’équipe me demanda ce que je voulais pour mon anniversaire. Lorsque nous avions visité tous ensemble un magasin de souvenirs, j’y avais remarqué trois singes. Je n’avais jamais rien vu de pareil avant et j’ai trouvé cette figurine très fascinante. Alors j’ai su ce que je voulais comme cadeau. A ce moment là une passion est née qui dure depuis plus de 20 ans. J’ai trouvé ma première figurine de quatre singes dans un bureau de tabac à Bernkastell en Allemagne.

Jusqu’à l’an 2000 environ, ma collection comprenait une cinquantaine de pièces, bien que je fusse toujours attentive à trouver d’autres objets. C’est seulement quand eBay est entré dans ma vie que ma collection s’est considérablement accrue. Vers 1997, j’ai rencontré un autre collectionneur sur un marché à la brocante. Nous sommes restés en contact et nous pensions que nous étions les seuls avec une telle passion. Mais depuis cette époque, et grâce à internet, j’ai appris à connaître d’autres collectionneurs à travers le monde. Je suis restée en contact avec certains d’entre eux.

Ma fille a aussi été « contaminée » par moi, depuis, presque tous ces travaux manuels concernent les trois singes. J’espère qu’un jour je pourrai me rendre à une réunion de collectionneurs aux Pays-Bas ou aux USA.
