Hello,
I am trying to research the 3 monkeys I have that are candle holders. I think they are bronze and would like to find the value. Is there a website you could recommend to me?

I appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Thanks for the photos.

Your three wise monkey candle holders are made of brass.

They are not very old and were probably produced during the second half of last century.

The only place where I have seen them for sale is in Ebay USA. So far never in Europe.

If there are no labels or markings, it is hard to say where they have been produced, but an educated guess would be Korea. Also possible are India or still, within the US.

Auction results range from US$ 35 to US$ 60, sometimes more, if you are lucky to have two collectors bidding up against each other. But in these troubled economic times such battles have become rare.

On a scale of 1 (unique) to 10 (very common) I would give this set this set a 3 or 4.
