Story:

Hi, I was given you contact info by someone in an Antiques group on FaceBook. I've been trying to identify an old bottle that belonged to my parents many years ago. Do you do that or was the information not correct that you would possibly be able to help. This is the bottle in question. It has been painted but many years ago and possibly by my Grandmother. It seems to have a fine ridge down the sides like it was blown perhaps? It has a metal screw cap. The height of this bottle is a little over 8" tall and 2 3/4 across the widest part of the bottom. The bottom is not round but kind of crescent shaped. In raised letters between and below the feet of the bottom monkey, says: SEE SPEAK OR HEAR NO EVIL and the very bottom is stamped "8 OZ PATENT PENDING"

Valuation:

Here is a picture of the same bottle, but not hand painted, that I bought a few years ago in the USA for US$ 20. The few of these bottles I have seen were all located in the USA, never in Europe. But that is about all I can say about it. I have no idea about the original contents. Maybe interesting to know, that a set of 3 no evil monkey bottles, produced in Europe, was used for vodka mix drinks, but also for bath soaps. Maybe one day the bottle with the original label will show up in Ebay. The label must have obviously been fixed to the back side of the bottle.
