Story:

Hi there,
I have grown up with these monkeys so I know they have to be older than I am. There hair is carved in detail which I read means that they are 'original'. They have come with my family from Germany to the U.S. and I just re-discovered them going through stored away boxes in the attic.
My 3-monkeys weigh 191 grams, are 6 centimeters long, the tallest is just over 4 centimeters in height, and the approximate depth is 2 centimeters. I can take pictures and upload!

Thanks for the pictures.

In collector’s circles this 3 monkey figurine is well known. The material is brass. It has been produced in larger quantities in the time after WWII. Maybe also before the war, but no records exist. The country of origin is England. The manufacturer could be Peerage, but they usually mark their items. What is special about this design is that two of the monkeys are using one paw only. Copies are around, but you seem to have an original. Hope this information is useful to you.

Maybe this will be the start of a new 3-monkey collection?
