Story:

Attached are a few pictures of a salt and pepper set.  There is a bit of crazing, mostly on the stand that is hard to see in the pictures. There are no chips, though there are some sites of careless casting and glazing that look like chips. I'm not sure of what price to ask.  What would you suggest?  Do you have any information as to when these were made?  Thanks for your help with this piece.

Valuation:

At this moment and with the present economic situation it is very difficult to give a good answer. I bought my own set about 15 years ago in an antique mall in Kansas City and paid US$ 10 for it. I think that a fair price would be around US$ 15-25, also given the fact that there is quite some crazing. But it can very well be that some people would be willing to pay more. Unfortunately it is a buyers market at this moment. If you visit any antique mall, you will notice that there are hundreds, if not thousands S&P sets for sale. Concerning the date I have no exact information, but my guess is that these sets were produced in the 60’s and 70’s. I hope that this information is useful to you.
