I bought three wise monkeys about a year ago from a charity shop ,could you give me an idea how much they are worth?, they are three and three quarters high and have a combined weight of 2 pounds and 3 ounces they look bronze in colour, thanking you,  Diane

Ik heb deze horen, zien en zwijgen apen ongeveer een jaar geleden in een kringloopwinkel gekocht, kunt u me zeggen hoeveel ze waard zijn? Ze zijn ongeveer 9.5 cm hoog en wegen samen ongeveer 1 kg. Het lijkt wel of ze van brons zijn. Bedankt, Diane

Ich habe diese drei Affen vor einem Jahr in einem Wohltätigkeitsladen gekauft. Können Sie mir sagen wie viel sie Wert sind? Sie sind in etwa 9,5 cm hoch und haben zusammen ein Gewicht von 1 Kg. Es sieht aus ob sie aus Bronze sind. Danke,  Diane

Valuation:

These monkeys are made of brass, obviously with a bronze finish and were manufactured about 20 – 30 years ago in India. They are not extremely rare, nor are they very common, something in between. Their value is estimated at about UK£ 20 – 25 for a set of three.

Deze HZZ apen zijn uit messing, met een bronzen kleur afgewerkt en ze werden ca. 20 tot 30 jaar geleden in India gemaakt. Ze zijn niet heel erg zeldzaam, maar ook niet heel algemeen, iets er tussen in. De waarde wordt geschat op ca. 25 - 30 Euro voor de set van drie.

Diese Affen sind aus Messing, bronzefarbig „veredelt“ und sie wurden vor ca. 20 – 30 Jahre in Indien hergestellt. Sie sind nicht sehr selten, aber auch nicht sehr allgemein, so in etwa dazwischen. Der Wert wird geschätzt auf ca. 25-30 Euro für den Dreiersatz.
