Hello Emil,

Some time ago I promised to send you photographs of 3 no evil monkeys from Indonesia with an “OWL” in their bellies. These monkeys are very similar to a certain kind of monkeys from India. Right?

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich Dir Bilder zugesagt von „Drei-Affen“ aus Indonesien mit einer „EULE“ im Bauch.

Diese Affen sind sehr ähnlich zu bestimmte Affenfiguren aus Indien. Stimmt’s?

Thanks for the pictures.

I know this kind of monkeys, but “empty” or with little monkeys in their bellies (that don’t do hear-see-speak). Never seen them with owls. There is not too much I can say about them, other that this style of monkeys usually comes from India. Owls are symbols of wisdom, what very well goes together with wise monkeys. This kind of monkeys is usually offered in eBay with a starting price of US$ 10.

Here below are a few pictures of 3-monkey figurines from the same family.

Ik ken deze soort apen, maar dan zonder “inhoud” of met kleine aapjes in hun buik (die geen HZZ doen). Met uiltjes had ik ze nog niet gezien. Veel kan ik er niet over zeggen, behalve dat dit soort HZZ inderdaad meestal uit India komt.

Uilen zijn ook een wijsheidssymbool, wat dus goed bij wijze apen past.

In eBay worden deze soort apen meestal met een startprijs van 10 € aangeboden. Hieronder staan een paar foto’s van een aantal HZZ uit dezelfde familie.

Ich kenne diese Ausführung der drei Affen schon, aber dann ohne „Inhalt“ oder mit Äffchen im Bauch. Mit Eulen habe ich sie noch nie gesehen. Viel kann ich darüber nicht sagen, ausser dass diese Art von Affen meistens aus Indien kommt. Eulen sind Symbole der Weisheit, was gut zu weisen Affen passt.

In eBay werden diese Art von Affen meistens mit einem Startpreis von 10 € angeboten. Hier unten sind ein paar Bilder von Drei-Affen aus der gleichen Familie.
