Story:

I am hoping you will be able to identify this small 3 Wise Monkey curio. I attach a picture. The ornament is made of a yellow metal, possibly brass, and is quite heavy - 220 grams. Including the base, each monkey is 5cm high. The base is about 11 cm long in total. Each monkey attaches to the base with a pin or rivet which may or may not actually be part of the monkey body. See No Evil is a bit loose and can move on its pin. As far as I can remember it has been in my father's attic since the 1960's. It is thought to have been picked up my grandfather earlier than that whilst on holiday somewhere. I have not cleaned it but I am sure it would polish up. Valuation:

This figurine is between 60 and 80 years old and is indeed made from brass. It was manufactured by Peerage Brass (former: Pearson Page Jewsbury Co. Ltd) in England. As it has been produced in larger quantities, it is relatively common. It also exists with a round base, whereby the 3 monkeys are sitting back to back. On flea markets and in internet auctions you will still be able to occasionally find the same or similar figurines.
