Valuation:

Dear Kerry,

This lucky penny has been issued as a souvenir item for several US places of interest. The material is indeed bronze.

Personally I have seen them from St. Louis, St. Antonio, Washington, Chicago, but also places like Gettysburg and Camp Funston!!!

Unfortunately I have no information how old these token are. I would have guessed about 50 – 60 years, but because of the Camp Funston one it may very well be from the time before WWII.

Greetings Emil, 

Thank you for your response and information.  Cedar Point is an amusement park on Lake Erie in Ohio.  It opened in 1870.  What information I could find, this penny probably dates to the 1930-40's.  I found one with the same reverse and an Indian bust on the front that was dated 1923 on the penny.  I got it for $1.00 at a swap meet a few years ago, so it was a great addition to my monkey zoo.  I have collected No Evil Monkeys for about 20 years.  I do not have a huge collection-about 100 or so. I pick them up whenever I can and the price is right.
