Gandhi and three monkeys

Round head round spectacles
Our grandpa Gandhi smiles
In shining idols in the museum
of his Sabarmati Ashram;
Unaware of the gossip among
three monkeys he sits unstung

The one with closed ears said
“Poor little, we were his ideals
But  I can see bad and talk bad”

The one with closed eyes said
Ya, he could not think that
I can hear bad and talk bad”

The one with shut mouth signed
“I can hear and see the sin
 Though it is forbidden”

Unaware of their desires
He sits in sales counters
Silent and non-violent.
